Use QuikText Descriptions

Setup Tables

QuikText is customized, pre-defined text which you may quickly and easily add to any Trustee Suite memo or notes field in Case, Assets and Claims screens.

The QuikText Description List table (screen) is what you use to define your own customized memo descriptions.

There are two ways to access the QuikText Descriptions List screen:

  1. From the top main menu toolbar (File Menu), select ‘Tables’ > ‘QuikText Descriptions’ to invoke the QuikText Description List screen (shown below).
  2. From the Form Selection toolbar on the far left side of the screen, select the ‘Claims’ tab and then the ‘Table Maintenance’ link under the Claims sub-menu beneath the tabs on the far left side of the screen.  Click on the ‘QuikText Descriptions’ link from the drop-down list.

Add a New QuikText Item

  1. Click on the ‘New Item’ button.  The QuikText Description List screen will now be editable (white).
  1. Enter the ‘Code’ (required), ‘Text’ (your QuikText description) and/or the ‘Use’ options (‘Case’ and/or ‘Asset’ checkboxes):
  • ‘Case’ consists of seven checkboxes, including ‘Next Activity’, ‘341(a) Memo’, ‘Date Memo’, ‘Internal Memo’, ‘External Memo’, Task Note’ and ‘Adversary Note’.
  • ‘Asset’ consists of five checkboxes, including ‘Asset Memo’, ‘Form 1 Memo’, ‘Claim Note’, ‘Receipts’ and ‘Bank Recon. Note’.
  1. Selecting the ‘Case’ and/or ‘Asset’ checkboxes auto-populates all of the checkboxes under either option, but you can uncheck any of them, as applicable.
  2. Check all of the boxes for the area(s) of the program in which you would like to use the QuikText descriptions.  This filtering allows the user to customize the codes available when right clicking to access the list.
  3. Click on the ‘Save’ button.
