The Lite Export feature allows cases to be exported to another computer, such as a laptop, where information can be changed before reloading it onto the Main computer. CaseLink Lite will allow you to carry information for specific cases to court, home or wherever you need to update information while away from the office.
Case Access
Cases that have been exported to Lite will be placed in read-only mode in the Main system. No modifications can be made to those cases in the Main system until they have been imported back from Lite. While on the Main system, users can view (read-only) all of the case information for the offloaded cases. This allows the user the ability to see the information without editing rights. Cases sent to Lite cannot be modified on the Main system until they are imported back to Main. Note: CaseLink Lite requires a separate modified installation of Trustee Suite on the second computer. If you would like to set up this feature, call the Stretto Support Center at 800-634-7734.
Access Lite and Export Cases from the Main System to the Lite System
There are two ways to access the Lite feature and move (export) cases from the Lite system to the Main system:
1. The 341(a) Worksheet tab:
• Select the ‘341(a) Wkst’ tab from the Form Selection toolbar on the far left side of the page, which invokes the 341(a) Worksheet screen shown below.
• Select the date range for the cases you wish to export and click on ‘Go’.
• You may uncheck cases you do not want to include.
• Select ‘341(a) Export’ from the 341(a) Wkst sub-menu below the tabs on the far left side of the page.
• The 341(a) Export Selection window will open as shown below.
• Click on the ‘Lite Export’ button. Trustee Suite will automatically select the cases you have selected in the 341(a) Worksheet and display them in the Export to Lite window shown below.
.
2. The top Main Menu toolbar (File Menu):
• Select ‘File’ > ‘Lite Export’> ‘Export to Lite’. You will see the Case Selection window showing the ‘Main Data’ tab as shown below.
• In the ‘Dates’ tab (shown below), enter the 341(a) date or date range in the 341(a) ‘Low’ and ‘High’ fields. If you want to include the case with continued dates for a specific date, enter your date range in all three of the 341(a) fields (341(a) Meeting First, IDE, and Last).
• Click on the ‘Main Data’ tab (shown two screenshots above) and then click on the ‘OK’ button.
• The Export to Lite window (shown three screenshots above) will open.
Export to Lite
Click on ‘Export’. You will see a message stating where the Lite file went and what it is named. Click on ‘OK’. You will see that the 341(a) worksheet appears empty (the cases are in a deactivated state – off-loaded to Lite).
Now you are ready to import to your Lite system.
