Clear Lite

IMPORTANT NOTE:  ONLY CLEAR LITE IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY CHANGES TO IMPORT FROM LITE.  IF YOU CLEAR LITE ON THE MAIN SYSTEM, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ACCESS EXPORTED CASES IN THE MAIN SYSTEM, BUT YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO RE-IMPORT THOSE CASES FROM LITE.  THIS MEANS YOU WILL LOSE ANY MODIFICATIONS THAT WERE MADE IN THE LITE SYSTEM.  THERE IS NO OPTION TO DO A PARTIAL CLEAR FOR ONLY SOME CASES.

If you lose the diskette, the diskette or CD containing the Lite file is damaged (e.g., you receive a dynazip error), or if for some other reason you need to be able to access cases which were exported to Lite, it is possible to Clear Lite or “unfreeze” (re-activate) the cases on the Main system.

To clear Lite:

1.  From the top Main Menu toolbar (File Menu), click on ‘File’ > ‘Lite Export’ > ‘Clear Lite Exports’.

2.  You will see the Clear Export window (shown below).  Verify that you see the cases you need to reactivate in Main and then click on the ‘Clear’ button.

3.  You will see a message, “Are you sure you wish to clear the case(s) exported to Lite on {date & time}? Once cleared, it cannot be imported later.”  Click on ‘Yes’.

4.  You will see another message, “All Lite records exported {date & time} have been cleared.”  Click on ‘OK’.

5.  Your cases are now reactivated and ready to view.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  IF YOU HAVE EXPORTED MULTIPLE FILES FOR SEPARATE LITE SYSTEMS, CAREFULLY SELECT THE CORRECT FILE TO CLEAR.  ONCE YOU CLEAR THESE FILES, YOU WILL NO LONGER BE ABLE TO RE-IMPORT THOSE CASES FROM LITE.
