Manually Add Claims

Manually Importing claims electronically means that you can go to the courts website, copy the Claims Register for a specific case and download it into Trustee Suite directly.

ECF Manual Claims Import

To Manually Import claims, the user must first go to the Pacer site and navigate to the Claims register for the case.  Once the Claims Register is viewable, the user can simply cut and paste the table of information into the software.

1.  When the report is displayed, use your keyboard and select ‘CTRL+A’ to highlight all the contents of the report.

2.  Use your keyboard and select ‘CTRL+C’ to copy this to the clipboard.

3.  Go to the software, and from the top Main Menu toolbar (File Menu), select ‘File’ > ‘Import’ > ‘Manual Claim Import’.

4.  Use your keyboard and select ‘CTRL+V’ to copy the contents of the Claims Register Report into the Manual Import of Claims Register box.

5.  The ‘Continue’ button will become enabled after you paste the contents of the report.  Click on the ‘Continue’ button to import the  information into the Claims screen.

Note:  If the Bankruptcy Court has keyed in the case number differently than you did in the software, you will be asked to confirm to which case you want to import claims.  The Select a New Case Number window will be displayed.  Click on the drop-down list down-arrow to select the proper case number.  Select ‘OK’ when you are finished.

6.  After you click on the ‘Continue’ button, the Import Claims window will be displayed.

Note:  All fields can be edited from this screen and the new values will be imported into the software, but if you close the screen before importing, any changes you made will be lost.

7.  Click on the ‘Import’ button to complete the import process and add the valid claims to the selected case.  Once imported, users can process claims within the Import Claims feature.
