IFP cases are those in which the debtor could not pay the filing fee and therefore the trustee is not allowed to collect a payment on the case until a case status is determined. Once determined, a trustee will not receive any fees for a No Asset case and, in an Asset Case, the trustee will be paid only if the estate can pay the filing fee to the court.
IFP Checkbox
An ‘IFP’ checkbox has been added to the Case Information screen, as shown below in the bottom section of the screen. This allows the user to track any IFP cases appointed to the trustee.
Fee Payment Status Report
The Fee Payment Status can filter via the new ‘IFP’ checkbox. This report provides the trustee a means to track the number of IFP cases for any specified date range.
Note: The IFP case must have an NDR date to pull to the report.
