ECF 2015 Asset Converter

Assets are listed on the new bankruptcy forms in a different order than on the old forms. The ECF 2015 Asset Converter tool allows you to easily re-order assets scraped off the schedules to match the standard on either the old forms or the new forms. Before using the Asset Converter, make sure that you have marked your case as an asset case and that the assets are already imported into Trustee Suite. To use the tool, select the “ECF 2015 Asset Converter” link on the home page.

The “ECF 2015 Asset Converter” link is under the ECF/DocLink section on the home page

A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to select the case number of the case for which you’d like to re-order the assets. You will also see a warning indicating that “This process cannot be reversed.”

The pop-up window contains a warning that the conversion process cannot be reversed.

Use the drop-down menu to select the case number of the case you’d like to re-order. The list is limited to only asset cases, so make sure the case you’re trying to reorder is already marked as an asset case. Please also note that manually added assets will not be reordered.

Only cases marked as Asset Cases appear in the drop-down menu for you to select

Once you’ve chosen your case number, you can click the “Sort New” button to align all assets to the new format. On rare occasions where a case filed on older forms comes into the system in the new form sort order, clicking on the “Sort Old” button will change the sort order appropriately for that case. Close the pop-up window to return to your newly re-sorted assets.
