New Features
AUDITOR
Trustee Suite has been enhanced to include an Auditor feature to help you prepare for your Audits, Interim reports, and Final reports in a quick and efficient manner.
Interactive-The Auditor is a simple-to-use interactive tool that guides you through the steps of audit preparation. This feature incorporates new technology that integrates the Trustee Suite screen with audit results to allow more flexibility in viewing and managing the issues.
Intuitive-The intuitive nature of the Auditor feature automatically finds issues that should be corrected prior to the audit, including some of the most prominent issues based upon top issues reported in field and independent audit statistics. The Auditor not only allows you to view these issues, but also allows you to immediately and interactively correct issues, such as:
- Issues with No Asset cases
- Missing case information
- Case deadlines
- DSO issues
- Issues with Asset cases
- Outstanding, stale, duplicate, or missing checks
- Banking issues
Customizable-Trustee Suite’s Auditor feature allows you to customize specific audit flags based on your individual auditing needs.
Secure- The Auditor contains a security feature that recognizes specific user rights to ensure that case information is not changed by an unauthorized user.
ENHANCED CREDITOR MAILING MATRIX
Trustee Suite now uses the 3-column PDF format for the creditor mailing matrix which uses the National Address lists used by the Court. This allows for easier formatting in your mailing functions and is the preferred method of trustees. Also, Document Management automatically stores each download, and the link in the Matrix pulls a list of the downloads sorted chronologically.
ONE-CLICK DEPOSIT REVERSAL
The Ledger screen in Trustee Suite now allows you to reverse simple deposits, deposit adjustments and deposit reversals with just a click of a button. This new feature eliminates the need to manually correct the ledger, reducing errors and time completing the process.
MMA ABUSE WARNINGS
Trustee Suite now prompts users to remind them if they are close to exceeding, or have exceeded the number of checks they can write against an MMA account.
SECONDARY INSTA-TIN
Trustee Suite now enables users to electronically obtain an insta-TIN for co-debtors. Once the second TIN request is received, the secondary TIN will automatically be added to Trustee Suite.
NEW EMAIL OPTION ON HOME PAGE
The Home Page in Trustee Suite has been enhanced to provide a single Email link for all questions. Simply click the link and selection from options to either Email the bank, Email Help Line or to send general feedback.
ENHANCED SURPLUS-TO-DEBTOR REPORTING
The Surplus-to-Debtor reporting feature in Trustee Suite has been enhanced to provide greater consistency when running reports. You can now view the parameters that were used to run the previous report to ensure that the results are the same.
ENVELOPES AND LABELS
Trustee Suite gives you enhanced customization options for your mailings by allowing you to modify fonts and view the envelope layout.
ADDITIONAL FORM 4 FEATURES
A date range has been added to the parameter screen to support successor trustee case reporting during a specific time period. This provides increased functionality for your Form 4 reporting requirements.
ABILITY TO VIEW OFFLOADED CASES
Trustee Suite has been enhanced to allow you to view case information for cases that have been offloaded.
Special Announcements
TRUSTEE SUITE PROCEDURAL UPDATE REGARDING W-9 SUBMISSION TO THE BANK
While most users requests insta-TIN’s for non corporate cases, occasionally a trustee manually requests a TIN via the IRS. Chase has implemented a new process for handling case accounts when the TIN is requested manually from the IRS.
If the case does not have a TIN, and one is not requested via insta-TIN, users need to print and send a paper W-9 to the bank and enter “TIN applied for” on the form. Users should file an SS-4 with the IRS to manually request a TIN.
